you only ever show the conventional programs that run on a Hackintosh. But what happens if I run Logic Audio on it, for example? The problem with older Macs that don't have a Metal graphics card is that the timeline isn't displayed. It's exactly the same with video editing programs. This should be presented better so that it works on your systems too. That way you have a better sales argument for building a Windows PC as a Hackintosh. That everything works perfectly. I run a recording studio and newer Macs are just too expensive. This would be the right alternative to a PC and not a Mac as a laptop.

I recently purchased this motherboard on Amazon for about $160. I need to upgrade from my i7-8700k and ASUS WS C246 PRO motherboard (which I have used for Hackintosh over the last 5 years) because the PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and the i219 Ethernet card have failed. As a result, my AMD GPU isn’t performing optimally. Coincidentally, I came across your video and noticed you have the same motherboard. Did you manage to get the native Ethernet adapter (i225) working? I’m also planning to use the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT CPU next month. Thanks for your video! It felt like a gift from above, haha

Nice vídeo! I have same MOBO Z790 Elite AX, and twice Pcie card (Broadcom and native intel Wo-Fi 6). Bluetooth dongle Kino BDT-400 works fine with only BlueToolFixup.kext (tested on my laptop Lenovo E470 with AX 210 intel Wi-Fi). Nice job, but im using Clover 5159 compiled and works much better than Opencore.

Hey I wanted to ask since I know that you're also into music, Ive wanted to upgrade my Hack so rn im running a 9700k and wanted to upgrade to socket 1700 => I do orchestral stuff and some uni I think a 12700kf would be enough (On sale rn for 200€) or would you rather go for a 14700kf (370€ rn) ?

The version before Seqoiua I still had running on a Gigabyte Brix of about 6 years old. It became a bit slower now. It's not comparable with speed of a Mac or a newer PC, but it did run ok. Just used it for Android Studio to be able to build for iOS. So going to try it again on a new Asus laptop.

Sir, first let me state I am not an Apple fan-boy but I do like their Operating System and I myself run a Hackintosh built by me from parts sourced from P/C shops and have done so since Snow Leopard. Continuing on the subject of your installation of Sequoia, the operation of it halting during the boot-up having to force a reset, also those purple lines during the Verbose text definitely shows a misconfiguration. Albeit being the first Beta, those lines and halting has absolutely nothing to do with that fact. Like I said my own installation which was a clean install, boots up butter smooth. As a matter of fact it boots faster than Sonoma. I have also loaded up all my programs as a test and so far they all work without a problem. The down side is no WiFi (at the moment) but Ethernet and B/Tooth work. On a slightly prickly subject, I wondered how you were abled to install and sell Hacks with Apple's OS already installed considering a few years back a company doing the same thing was successfully sued and shut down by Apple as that kind of thing breaks the strict EULA agreement (although in some way Hacks are). I am in some way not surprised you have discontinued this practice although selling Motherboards with preloaded Apple's OS still constitute a violation unless they have relaxed the ruling. Offering a constructed EFI for various Motherboards for Hackintosh, I suppose is a way around that as you are not the only one out there with that service but full blown rigs and motherboards in my opinion is a Nono and most certainly will probably invite a strongly worded cease and desist letter from their legal department and I don't want to see the OS locked down even further. I think our Hacks has until 2027 as Intel Macs were still available in 20/20 and 2022 to purchase and I can't imagine them being locked out by Apple before plus I would like to enjoy at least another Apple offering before that happens. You offer good and educational advice for newbies and seasoned Hack builders over a period of time but over that time, I think you pushed the boundaries a little too far for comfort. I hope I have not rubbed you the wrong way with my musings and opinions and hope you treat my post as a friendly concern and warning. If I am wrong with the whole assumption, please forgive me and have a good day.

Who in this age of Google, UA-cam and other tech pays for an EFI folder or OS install? They have to be VERY LAZY to do so.

There is an issue with that configuration, those purple lines during the verbose popping up is a tell tale sign as well as the freeze, my Z490 runs as smooth as Ventura and boot time is a lot quicker. The only thing missing is lack of Wifi which I am hoping will be sorted soon with OCLP.

Hackintosh always looks great until you notice your clock is wrong and the bluetooth doesn't work. I've wasted weeks on Monterey. Maybe not 'dead' just too frustrating.

i9-14900K is not optimized for macos. You should use Windows 11 for this CPU if you want all it's power.

Now why would you want to do this? Only reason I can think of are Happy Tinkering for many hours, Just for the fun of it, and thats fine. Each his own hobby. You are not saving money. If you spend the hours of getting everything up and running on actual work, like fixing other peoples PC's you would be able to buy a M-Series mac.

I also installed it immediately and it broke a few things - no WIFI, no Bluetooth, No Audio, No 2nd monitor (Titan Ridge 2.0), - my review is that it has NOTHING new really and not worth the update right now anyway. Also, I went back to Monterey. Ventura and Sonoma seemed to use more memory and slower than Monterey. Im running a Asus Z690, 12th Gen cpu, RX6600 VGA.

I am impressed that you already have installed the new system! I have old Mac Pro 5.1 (2012) and stuck with Monterey. Ventura will give issues even with USB-ports. I have thoughts of building Hackintosh but haven’t the skills to build a computer, I have most parts but not the knowledge.
